purchase manager(african Exp)

• Source raw cashew nuts, rice, and other agri-commodities from African suppliers.
• Identify new suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate sourcing potential.
• Build long-term relationships with exporters, farmers, processors, and agents across African regions.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and shipment schedules with African vendors.
• Conduct supplier audits, quality checks, and factory visits during Africa travel.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, price comparisons, and procurement reports.
• Coordinate commodity testing (count, out-turn, moisture, quality grades).
• Ensure proper documentation: PI, LC, BL, COO, QC reports, and customs compliance.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA, and clearing agents.
• Monitor shipments, container bookings, logistics schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure timely clearing of imported goods and smooth inward logistics.
• Track international market trends, price fluctuations, competition, and harvest cycles.
• Conduct landed cost analysis and present cost projections to management.
• Monitor FX rates, risk factors, and commodity demand-supply patterns.
• Coordinate closely with production, quality, finance, and senior management.
• Ensure that purchase planning aligns with production schedules and inventory requirements.
• Support finance team for vendor payments, LC opening, and documentation.
• Ensure procurement processes follow company policies and import regulations.
• Ensure ethical procurement and anti-corruption compliance.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in procurement, with at least 2-3 years sourcing from African markets.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in sourcing raw cashew nuts (RCN), almonds, or rice or other agri.
• Knowledge of international procurement, LC terms, incoterms, and import compliance.
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
