Job Title: Purchase Executive/Manager

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services required by the organization. The role involves ensuring timely procurement at the best price and quality while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.

Request and compare quotations for cost-effective purchasing.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Issue purchase orders and track delivery timelines.

Maintain supplier databases and purchase records.

Coordinate with Stores, Finance, and Production to understand material needs.

Conduct market research for new suppliers and alternative materials.

Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess stock.

Verify invoices against POs and delivery challans before sending to Accounts.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Assist in preparing purchase reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Handle periodic vendor evaluation and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or Electrical Engineering.

2–5 years of procurement/purchasing experience (manufacturing industry preferred).

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes and ERP systems (SAP/Tally).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
