Purchase Officer

Job Description:

Experience: 3 To 7 Years should have manufacturing knowledge.
Work Location: Chennai (Nungambakkam)

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify potential suppliers, compare offers, negotiate prices and contract terms, and build strong vendor relationships.
• Ordering & Processing: Create and process purchase orders (POs), manage requisitions, and ensure accurate entry into databases.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders as needed, and coordinate with warehouse staff for storage.
• Delivery & Quality Control: Track shipments, verify deliveries against orders, handle discrepancies (shortages, damages), and inspect product quality.
• Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain updated records of purchases, invoices, and supplier information; prepare cost analysis and purchase reports.
• Collaboration: Work with internal teams (finance, operations) to align purchasing with budgets and business needs.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and procurement software.
