Purchase Officer

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Purchase Officer based in Al Ain with strong knowledge of steel structure materials and procurement processes. The ideal candidate should have excellent negotiation skills, strong supplier market awareness, and detailed knowledge of steel structural items, materials, and accessories used in fabrication and construction projects. The candidate must be capable of managing purchasing activities efficiently while ensuring cost control and timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Source and purchase steel structure materials and related items as per project requirements.

2. Have strong knowledge of steel structural items such as MS plates, GI sheets, beams, channels, angles, pipes, fasteners, welding materials, and fabrication accessories.

3. Identify reliable vendors and suppliers and maintain strong business relationships.

4. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective purchasing.

5. Prepare purchase orders, compare quotations, and track deliveries.

6. Coordinate with project, store, and accounts teams for smooth procurement operations.

7. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.

8. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain procurement records.

9. Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and project specifications.

10. Maintain awareness of current steel market prices and supplier availability in the UAE market.
