The Electronic and Electrical Purchase Executive is responsible for the complete procurement lifecycle of all electronic and electrical components, equipment, and raw materials. The role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, conducting market research, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure all purchases meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements for production and projects.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors for a wide array of electrical and electronic components, such as PCBs, sensors, switchgears, motors, and cables.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on market trends, new products, pricing, and emerging suppliers.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
- Supplier and vendor management:
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Manage supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Procurement process management:
- Review and process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders with accuracy.
- Negotiate contracts, terms of agreement, and pricing to secure the best value for the company.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production delays.
- Technical collaboration and quality assurance:
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams to understand technical specifications and material requirements.
- Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure alignment with technical and commercial requirements.
- Collaborate with quality control to resolve issues with defective or unacceptable goods.
- Inventory and cost control:
- Monitor inventory levels of electronic and electrical components to optimize stock and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Perform cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Documentation and compliance:
- Maintain meticulous records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and relevant documentation.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, specifically within the electrical and electronics manufacturing industry.
- Technical knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical and electronic components
- Software proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP systems (like SAP or Oracle) and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
