Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive, meticulously organised, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchase Officer with a focus on export operations within the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities – Procurement and Export Operations in Manufacturing

  • Coordinate and execute the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods required for export within a manufacturing environment.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers locally and internationally to ensure high-quality and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules, ensuring optimal value and compliance with trade regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess, raising purchase orders as required and tracking shipments for timely delivery.
  • Oversee all documentation, customs procedures, and export compliance in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
  • Liaise with logistics, warehouse, quality assurance, and production teams to coordinate export shipments and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
  • Prepare accurate procurement and export reports for management review and audit purposes.
  • Proactively address issues affecting supply chain timelines, cost, or quality; implement corrective measures to minimise risk.

Required Skills –

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and international partners.
  • Advanced negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favourable terms while maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Attention to detail in preparing procurement contracts, scheduling shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement or ERP software systems.

Qualifications & Experience – Purchase Officer, Export, And Manufacturing Industry

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or export-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international sourcing, vendor management, and global logistics.
