Job description

The Mu Aqua Engineering Inc. is a subsidiary of Mega Union, a company headquartered in Taiwan and is committed to providing localized, high-quality engineering service.

This is a Full time and ON SITE position.

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. The Purchaser will collaborate closely with various departments to support production planning and logistics.

Duties

  • Manage the sourcing of materials and supplies necessary for production, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on price, delivery terms, and quality standards.
  • Utilize ERP systems for tracking orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate timely delivery of materials.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Implement root cause analysis for any supply chain disruptions or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Work closely with production planning teams to align procurement strategies with manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable pricing and terms.
  • Understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve procurement-related issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to sourcing and purchasing decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
