Purchaser / Buyer

Overview
Youngquist Brothers LLC is seeking a sharp individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive to be a Purchaser/Buyer on our team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the procurement process, ensuring that we acquire high-quality products at competitive prices along with on-time deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have some mechanical knowledge of auto, truck and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a fast paced envirnment daily.
• Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
• Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies as needed in our shop.
• Communicate with the mechanics, welders, electricians, etc. in our shop to understand their needs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
• Work closely with the Service Manager and Shop Manager to develop sourcing strategies that optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• actively keep track of purchases and deliveries and commnicate findings to the Service Manager.

Experience

• Previous experience in a mechanical shop or parts store is preferred.
• Strong Googel search skills with the ability to evaluate pricing and supplier deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
