Purchaser – Electromechanical Works (MEP Materials)

We are seeking a highly experienced Purchaser specialising in Electromechanical (MEP) materials to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality materials required for MEP projects, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop a strong network of reliable suppliers within the UAE market.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value optimisation.
• Analyse and compare supplier quotations to select the most suitable vendors.
• Handle bulk purchasing for ongoing and upcoming projects while maintaining budget control.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery to avoid project delays.
• Maintain accurate procurement records using ERP systems and advanced Excel tools.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of UAE experience in purchasing within electromechanical/MEP works.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE market and suppliers for MEP materials.
• Expertise in vendor sourcing, price negotiation, and cost optimisation.
• Experience in handling bulk procurement of MEP materials for projects.
• Ability to evaluate quotations and finalise suppliers efficiently.
• Strong coordination with project teams for MEP material requirements.
• Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering (preferred)
• OR Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Business Administration
• Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) will be an added advantage
