Purchaser (F&B Operations)

The HOS Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and purchasing food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and hospitality-related materials in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role ensures the continuous availability of quality products while maintaining budget control, supplier relationships, and compliance with company standards and food safety regulations.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid UAE driving license. Mandatory.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is an advantage
  • Food safety or HACCP knowledge is preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience within the F&B, hospitality, or catering industry
  • Experience in sourcing food products, beverages, kitchen supplies, and hospitality consumables
  • Knowledge of UAE local suppliers and market pricing
  • Experience in vendor negotiation, procurement planning, and inventory coordination

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of F&B purchasing, procurement, and supplier management
  • Ability to source quality products at competitive prices
  • Familiarity with inventory control and stock monitoring
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Good negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities

DUTIES & RESPOSNIBILITIES:

  • Source and purchase food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and hospitality materials as required
  • Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers for the best terms
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Coordinate with kitchen, operations, and management teams regarding purchasing requirements
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in always maintaining adequate inventory
  • Verify delivered items for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders
  • Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure purchased items meet company quality standards and food safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier documentation
  • Assist in resolving issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged items, or supply shortages
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare purchasing reports and updates for management as required
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management
