Position : Purchase Manager - Civil Construction

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budget.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites.
• Analyze and compare supplier quotes and proposals to ensure best value procurement.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to determine procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
• Monitor and manage inventory to avoid shortages or excess.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate long-term supply contracts.
• Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with accounts and finance departments to ensure timely payment and cost control.
• Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or Procurement Officer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPP, CPSM) is a plus.
