Purchaser/Change Order Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent/Change Order Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for plumbing projects. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and experience in construction or plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints and project documents on change orders and POs
• Perform material take-offs and calculate quantities
• Estimate labor, materials, and project timelines
• Gather and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers, builders, and superintendents
• Track project changes and update estimates accordingly
• Maintain records of bids and estimates

Qualifications:

• Experience in plumbing estimating or a similar construction role
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and installation methods preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Excel being the primary focus
• Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of purchasing, project management, or construction-related experience in plumbing or related trades preferred
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus

Work Environment:

• Full-time, office-based position
• Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs
