Purchasing Agent

Essential Duties:

  • Procurement & Purchasing

o Purchase all parts and products needed for production and internal needs.

o Source parts efficiently while maintaining cost control and vendor relationships.

  • Inventory Management

o Maintain accurate inventory control for all production and service shop inventory.

o Monitor stock levels, track usage, and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages or overstock.

  • Warranty & Vendor Relations

o Manage and process all OEM warranty claims in a timely and accurate manner.

o Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, and warranty matters.

  • Customer & Internal Support

o Answer service calls and route to appropriate staff member.

  • Other duties:

o Take on additional tasks or projects as assigned by leadership to support overall business operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and purchasing software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and sales data to support procurement decisions.
  • Customer service experience, particularly in technical or service-based environments.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in the emergency sector.
  • Familiarity with service parts, technical specifications, and shop operations.
  • Advanced skills in Excel or reporting software.

ADA Requirements:

  • Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.
  • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs occasionally.
  • Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
