Basic Function: Help maintain inventory levels to meet current, workload and incoming projects.

Qualifications:

  • PREFER knowledge of the woodworking industry, but willing to train someone who quickly and accurately adapts
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and perform accurate mathematical calculations
  • Functional communication skills and excellent phone skills
  • Team player and assertive
  • PC skills, Internet
  • Experience with an ERP (SAGE or Similar)
  • Gain Proficiency in SAGE software
  • Inventory control/management experience
  • Functional understanding of logistics

Performance Expectations: Monitor, evaluate and maintain inventory in stocking location(s). Purchase goods to meet demand. Maintain clear and regular communication regarding replenishment status of purchases. Arrange delivery of materials.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain SKUs, including comment codes, substitution codes, cross references, items status, pricing and costs on existing and new items;
  • Maintain accurate product and stock information;
  • Purchase inventory and associated job specific items;
  • Track and update the status of material purchased still in production or in transit;
  • Maintain communication with other departments and co-workers;
  • Source material and arrange shipping;
  • Verify and maintain purchase order pricing;
  • Fulfill inventory for special orders;
  • Receive purchase order requests;
  • Process and prepare all necessary paperwork for returns;
  • File and monitor loss/damage claims;
  • Prepare and process all reports and files needed by suppliers, including, but not limited to, requests for credit and purchasing projections;
  • Prepare and update cycle counts of product lines purchased;
  • Adjust inventory recorded to reflect actual inventory as recorded by warehouse team;
  • Maintain in-house status report regarding inventory availability;
  • Attend operational meetings as needed;
  • Perform all other duties as requested.

Professional Development: Attend product knowledge seminars as offered.

Drug testing mandatory.

Experience:

  • Relevant: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Purchasing: 2 years (Preferred)
