Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level Purchasing Agent/Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to build a career in purchasing and supply chain. The selected candidate will assist with day-to-day purchasing activities, vendor communication, and order tracking, while gaining valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for parts, raw materials, and supplies as directed
• Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, lead times, and order status
• Assist in comparing quotes to ensure competitive purchasing decisions
• Enter and maintain purchasing records in the NetSuite ERP/CRM system
• Work with sales, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to understand material needs
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve basic issues with vendors
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
• Support the Procurement Manager with administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or office administration
• Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
• Coursework or education in business, accounting, or supply chain management

Employment Type

Full-time, hourly, standard 8-hour days

Pay Range

$20.00 – $28.00 per hour

Compensation Details

Harsh International, Inc. offers a minimum starting rate of $20.00 per hour during the 90-day probationary period. Upon completion of the probationary period, a performance review will be conducted to determine fair and competitive pay, with the potential to increase the hourly rate up to $28.00 per hour based on performance. Currently, no additional compensation or bonuses are offered for this role.
