The Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) is seeking a Purchasing Agent I in Jefferson County. OCSHCN provides comprehensive services for children and youth with special health care needs through early intervention, pediatric specialty clinics, care coordination, case management, therapies, and collaborations.
OCSHCN is an agency within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates statewide programmatic procurement for OCSHCN offices by ensuring data accuracy and managing processing activities.
- Oversees the execution of Provider Agreements, MOU, MOA, MA, and Request for Proposal process to establish professional service contracts.
- Acts as liaison between temporary contract vendors and OCSHCN staff.
- Analyzes and evaluates both new and current regulations to maintain adherence to compliance standards.
- Develops standard operating procedures related to procurement process.
- Acts as contact between internal and external agencies to resolve any discrepancies during the procurement process.
- Provides recommendations to management to improve overall program effectiveness based on process analysis.
- Monitors and processes invoices in Kentucky Inventory Tracking System (KITS) or eMARS and ensure expenditures are appropriately given the budgetary restrictions per procurement obligations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Experience in file management.
