Job Description
The Purchasing Agent Intern will gather and compare quotes for goods and services in accordance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Essential Functions

Assist in supporting the development and implementation of purchasing processes across departments for corporate operations.
Request and compile quotes for goods and services in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
Support coordination with department managers to monitor and maintain inventory levels.
Assist in evaluating vendors based on pricing, reliability, service quality, and transaction history.
Observe and support vendor communications, including discussions related to pricing and available discounts.
Review purchasing documents for completeness and accuracy.
Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture meeting.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of purchasing or supply chain principles.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office/hotel setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This role requires forty hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
There is limited travel between properties.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Current college student or recent graduate with a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
