Purchasing Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders (POs)
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate prices
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and records
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine best options
  • Coordinate with internal departments (finance, warehouse, operations)
  • Handle documentation such as invoices, delivery notes, and contracts
  • Resolve supply issues, delays, or discrepancies
  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (preferred)
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
