In this role you will be:
- Providing coverage at both IRMC and PAH.
- Competently managing telephone and written communication.
- Responsible for all aspects of the vendor registration program.
- Following established procedures and providing administrative assistance to the director including running daily reports and placing purchase orders with vendors as directed by the commodity specialists.
- Assisting with sourcing and pricing new products as needed.
- Assisting with the development of the item master database.
- Working with the materials management team to implement GPO contracts.
- Receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and other equipment.
- Restocking shelves in the storeroom and assigned PAR stock areas.
- Physically delivering materials, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Reviewing product usage and recommending increasing or decreasing the PAR levels to the unit’s manager and commodity specialist/storeroom coordinator, making the changes once approved.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication, multitasking, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work in an abstract environment with flexibility and composure.
- Recording minutes for various committees and meetings.
- Editing and proofing business correspondence and preparing reports.
- Working with the sales rep, physician office staff, and others to handle problem resolution and implement cost saving opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- EXPERIENCE: 1–2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience; preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: N/A
