About This Opportunity

Greenway Worldwide is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities with both domestic and international suppliers while facilitating communication between our company and manufacturing partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong problem solving skills and natural drive who wants to grow their career in supply chain management and procurement. We're looking for someone who can think on their feet and genuinely wants to grow with our company.

Responsibilities

General

  • Create and send purchase orders to manufacturing partners
  • Communicate product specifications, palletizing requirements, and container loading instructions to both domestic and international suppliers
  • Manage bookkeeping tasks including uploading invoices and creating bills in our accounting system
  • Monitor order progress and regularly communicate updates to the procurement and logistics teams
  • Maintain detailed reports of order status, production timelines, and shipment schedules

Overseas

  • Collaborate with factories to continuously update comprehensive specification sheets for each SKU
  • Review and approve box artwork and photos from factories and ensure compliance with brand standards before production
  • Coordinate sample requests and quality control processes

Domestic

  • Research and communicate with new domestic vendors
  • Obtain competitive quotes and compare pricing across different suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any order discrepancies or quality issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Conversational abilities in Vietnamese or Mandarin is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of international trade and logistics

Details

  • Location: Downtown Los Angeles
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Full time, in person, permanent position
  • Salary: $25-$26 per hour
