Purchasing Chief

As the leader of the Turkish tire sector, we are looking for an ‘’Purchasing Chief’’ to join our headquarters in Ankara with the following qualifications.


Qualifications:

  • Graduates from relevant university departments (preferably Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering)
  • Experience in purchasing processes in the manufacturing sector, preferably the automotive sector
  • Experience in the procurement of rubber, metals, cords, carbon black, and chemicals
  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing
  • Advanced level of English
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with ERP programs
  • Experience in purchasing processes in the manufacturing sector, preferably the automotive sector
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work quickly and results-oriented, adaptable to a busy work schedule
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork skills
  • High sense of discipline and responsibility

Operational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of products, materials, etc. Conducting market research,
  • Ensuring the purchasing and supply of raw materials and materials from domestic and international markets,
  • Examining market prices for products, materials, etc., and gathering information about the company from which the purchase will be made.
  • Controlling and coordinating the operations of purchasing personnel,
  • Keeping records of purchasing transactions and costs,
  • Monitoring developments in the domestic and international markets and identifying alternative suppliers with suitable price, quality, and delivery performance,
  • Ensuring optimal and timely meeting internal customer expectations and ensuring internal customer satisfaction,
  • Preparing and managing contracts and service agreements with suppliers,
  • Monitoring daily the material/raw material requirements determined by the MRP module of the existing ERP system and ensuring their delivery on time.
