Position Summary

A proactive and detail-oriented team player. The Purchasing clerk will play a critical role in supporting the sourcing, purchasing and inventory management of products. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the supply chain process, enjoys working with vendors, and has an eye for cost effective purchasing without compromising our quality

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The essential functions and responsibilities of the receptionist are as follows:

•Processing purchase order forms

•Researching suppliers and preparing reports, MSR and Generator

•Researching pricing online by comparing vendor pricing from different sites or supplier pricing information

•Verifying invoices and shipments

•Interacting with suppliers and providing information to buyers to assist in the negotiation of prices

•Placing purchasing orders and assisting with inventory counts

•Running reports as requested by the purchasing team

Education, Skills, and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in supply chain management (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers.
  • 1 to 2+ years of experience as a clerk or equivalent.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Able to work under pressure and meet company expectations and provide exemplary customer service to our customers and employees.
  • Willing to work as part of a team and complete some work independently.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage contracts
  • Familiarity with inventory management techniques, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising practices, and production planning is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
