Purchasing Coordinator
Reports to: Purchasing Specialist
Location: Strasburg Facility
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM
Summary
This position will assist the purchasing department with day-to-day operations. Interact with suppliers to maintain pricing file & delivery schedules. Interact with internal personnel as a liaison between purchasing, scheduling, accounting, manufacturing, & customer service/order entry. Candidate must uphold and represent ProVia' s Purpose, Vision, Mission and Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintain Vendor Price File Data
  • Confirm Pricing & Delivery dates on purchase orders
  • Notify purchasing/scheduling concerning delays
  • Review & Resolve supplier invoice/shipment discrepancies
  • Receive Purchase Orders
  • Review & Approve delivery notices
  • Review & Update backorder status
  • Other duties & tasks may be assigned as job develops
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment
  • Highly Organized & Time Management skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills including conflict resolution
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Team Oriented
