ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work in purchasing department for sourcing and procurement of critical materials for manufacture of temperature sensors and related components. Coordinate dates of incoming material with manufacturing team to enable up-to-date decision making.

• Identify material needed for manufacturing using sales and manufacturing planning tools
• Place orders and maintain contact / relationships with vendors and supply base
• Follow-up on open orders and maintain updated dates in manufacturing system for incoming material
• Work with engineering teams to identify alternate materials and vendors when necessary
• Monitor order scheduling and coordinate with departments for updates each day
• Support shipping / receiving / inventory as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required: 2-year college degree or applicable work experience

Preferred: 4-year college degree

SKILLS:

Computer Basics, Professional Email + Phone Communications, Ability to Follow Written Work Instructions, Concepts of Manufacturing and Measurement
