Description

As a Purchasing Coordinator at Ford AV, you will support company projects by managing vendor orders and ensuring materials are delivered on time and within budget. This role focuses on coordinating purchases, maintaining vendor relationships, and keeping internal teams informed to drive smooth project execution.

  • Place and track vendor orders while negotiating pricing, terms, and shipping.
  • Provide timely updates to Project Managers and Sales Account Managers on order status.
  • Research and recommend alternative vendors or products as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

  • Adept at negotiation, vendor relations, and customer service
  • Prior purchasing experience
  • General Accounting Experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Sales or related preferred
  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Office, typing, 10-key, Outlook

Furthermore, adequate manual dexterity and eyesight are necessary to effectively handle tasks involving reading, writing, interpreting, and managing paperwork with precision and efficiency. In a typical office setting, the employee will communicate and engage with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental conditions. Although the role mainly takes place indoors, there might be occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold and environmental elements.
