The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with an additional requirement to work weekends.

Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This individual will play an important role in managing purchasing operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting our growing supply chain needs. This role is critical, as our business operations depend on having the necessary stock in place.

In the Buyer department you must possess excellent customer service skills, as you will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless purchasing process. You will be responsible for facilitating prompt and effective communication between stores regarding stock levels, ensuring that inventory is balanced across locations to meet customer demand.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred and advanced computer skills are required to manage inventory data, analyze purchasing trends, and streamline operations efficiently.

The goal is to ensure that the business consistently maintains adequate stock that meets its needs. In doing so, we can continue to deliver value to our customers through high-quality products and support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
  • Select and purchase product lines aligned with customer needs and company goals
  • Monitor stock levels, plan purchases within budget, and coordinate timely deliveries
  • Maintain clear communication between store teams to balance inventory across locations
  • Analyze sales and inventory data using Excel and other digital tools
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support merchandising and operations
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance, budgets, and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal teams and external partners

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred (formulas, pivot tables, and reporting).
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably within purchasing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules (including weekends).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, or related roles preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
