Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing (Inventory Control) Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and supplies essential for our production. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to maintain high-quality standards and meet our customers' diverse packaging needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist procurement staff with the end-to-end purchasing process, from requisition, inventory to delivery.
  • Collaborate with the inventory control team to monitor stock levels and generate replenishment orders.
  • Assist in analyzing market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on inventory, purchases, cost analyses, and supplier performance.
  • Place purchase orders and track them to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the inventory, sales and production teams to align procurement with customer demand and production schedules.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or inventory support role; experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot table and VLOOKUP); experience with an ERP or inventory management system is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a team-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
