Black Diamond Coatings, Inc. (BDC Brands) is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join our growing team in Brooksville, FL. This is a full-time on-site position.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for placing and tracking purchase orders, communicating with vendors about product availability, scheduling deliveries in partnership with our Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. You will work closely with the Production Supervisor, Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, and Supply Chain Manager to ensure materials are in the right place at the right time.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and will be an advocate for our ERP system within the Supply Chain team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

Purchasing & Vendor Communication

  • Create, issue, and track purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding lead times, order status, and availability.
  • Resolve supplier performance issues that impact production schedules.
  • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts and periodic full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Production and Shipping & Receiving to maintain stock readiness.

Delivery Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to schedule inbound deliveries.
  • Verify receipt of goods against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure inbound logistics align with production timelines and warehouse capacity.

ERP & Data Accuracy

  • Serve as an ERP “super user” for the Supply Chain team.
  • Maintain purchasing and inventory records in ERP with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Generate reports to support Supply Chain decision-making.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and recommend improvements to purchasing and inventory processes.
  • Leverage data and technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ experience in purchasing, inventory control, or related supply chain role (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong ERP system proficiency (experience as a “super user” a plus).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall IT aptitude.
  • Experience with 5S and ISO 9001 environment is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional standing, bending, or reaching in warehouse/production areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
