Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and well-organized Purchasing & Inventory Technician to join our operations team. In this key role, you’ll ensure the right chemicals, components, and spare parts are always on hand to keep our wastewater treatment systems running smoothly. You’ll manage purchasing, maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate with suppliers, and oversee material flow so projects are completed on schedule and to specification.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase chemicals, equipment, and spare parts from approved suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain precise records of materials received and distributed using inventory software
  • Evaluate supplier performance and help negotiate pricing and delivery timelines
  • Adhere to safety protocols for handling and storing materials
  • Collaborate with engineering, service, and production teams to forecast supply needs
  • Prepare purchase orders, process invoices, and maintain documentation promptly
  • Assist with warehouse organization, shipping, and receiving as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in purchasing, inventory, or warehouse operations, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
  • Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to handle and monitor chemical products safely (training provided)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
