Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the strategic sourcing roadmap for EMS/electronic components and align procurement goals with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure contracts with favorable terms covering both technical specifications and commercial conditions. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational guidelines while balancing cost-efficiency with supply chain resilience.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers based on strategic needs. Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate technical capabilities, financial stability, and alignment with company standards.
  • Build and sustain strong and strategic relationships with suppliers to secure consistent performance and high-quality deliverables.
  • Regularly assess supplier capabilities, monitor performance against defined KPIs, and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the supplier base
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor market conditions, and proactively address potential challenges to ensure a reliable and resilient supply chain
  • Daily connection with Alpitronic SRL Purchasing Team to guarantee global purchasing strategy application for US operations.
  • Ensure compliance in US of the Alpitronic global purchasing procedures and alignment with Alpitronic SRL standards and best practices.
  • Lead Alpitronic US Purchasing Team for both Direct and Indirect materials, reporting to the Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain project management, ideally within the EV, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and supply chain planning tools.
  • Familiarity with international shipping, customs compliance, and US logistics requirements.
  • Knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse teams.

Your duties may be subject to change from time to time at the discretion of the Company.

All positions are required to be on-site at the US Headquarters in Charlotte 4 days/week with the exception of Field Service Technician.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time position eligible to receive a base salary or hourly rate and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final compensation offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
