Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a PURCHASING MANAGER (FOOD INDUSTRY ) located in Doha, Qatar. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, analytical skills, procurement, and contract management in the bakery industry.
Minimum 5-8 years experience in Qatar.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, select, and build relationships with food suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers.
- Negotiation: Secure optimal pricing, terms, and contracts for all purchased goods and services.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all procured items meet strict quality standards, hygiene protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FSSAI).
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, manage purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Market Analysis: Track food market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with production, operations, finance, and quality assurance teams.
- Reporting: Provide data and insights on procurement activities, expenditures, and supplier performance.
