Purchasing & Order Accuracy Manager

Purchasing & Order Accuracy Manager

Company: Surber’s Windows, Doors, Showers and More

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

About Us

Surber’s Windows, Doors, Showers and More is a family-owned company with 45 years of success and a strong reputation for quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. We are currently expanding into a new state-of-the-art showroom and training center and investing heavily in our people, systems, and long-term growth.

We are seeking a top-tier professional to take full ownership of one of the most critical functions in our company: accurate product purchasing and order control.

Position Summary

The Purchasing & Order Accuracy Manager has full ownership and accountability for ordering all product lines, including windows, doors, sunrooms, shower systems, and miscellaneous materials. Accuracy in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction, installation schedules, and company profitability.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, process discipline, and catching mistakes before they become costly problems.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Within the first 90 days, this person will be confidently managing all product orders across multiple manufacturers with minimal oversight, proactively reviewing contracts and confirmations, verifying details, and communicating clearly with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all product purchasing across multiple manufacturers and product lines
  • Review contracts, quotes, and specifications to ensure all orders are 100% accurate before placement
  • Verify manufacturer order confirmations for sizes, quantities, options, pricing, lead times, and delivery details
  • Proactively resolve discrepancies with vendors before orders are released or produced
  • Track orders from placement through delivery and coordinate with internal teams
  • Maintain highly organized digital and physical order documentation
  • Develop and follow structured processes and checklists to prevent errors
  • Serve as the internal authority on order accuracy and vendor coordination

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail — critical for success in this role
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and vendors simultaneously without losing accuracy
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers, order systems, spreadsheets, and digital documentation
  • Ability to follow structured processes precisely and consistently
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable being held accountable for results
  • Experience with construction materials, windows, doors, or custom product ordering is a plus but not required
  • You are the type of person who double-checks details even when no one is watching

This Role Is a Great Fit If You:

  • Take pride in accuracy and catching mistakes others miss
  • Enjoy structured processes, checklists, and organization
  • Prefer doing work right the first time rather than fixing problems later
  • Are comfortable owning a critical function and being accountable for details

This Role Is Not a Fit If You:

  • Dislike repetitive verification or double-checking work
  • Prefer fast-paced environments with loose processes
  • Get frustrated by detailed documentation and follow-up
  • Prefer shared responsibility rather than clear ownership

Benefits & Growth Opportunity

  • Competitive hourly pay ($18–$20/hour) based on experience
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • One week paid vacation
  • Stable, full-time position with a growing company
  • Trusted role with opportunity to grow in responsibility as systems and volume expand

Why This Role Matters

This position is essential to our success. The person in this role protects the company from costly errors, supports smooth installations, and ensures our customers receive exactly what they were promised. If you take pride in precision, accountability, and professionalism, we want to hear from you.
