As the Customer Service/ Purchasing Agent, you will serve as the main point of contact to our suppliers. The ideal candidate must be able to work alongside our purchasing team and cross departments to ensure products are ordered and received in a timely manner. This position is also responsible to customers with all their needs. The desired candidate is a self-driven individual with an appetite for knowledge and excellent communication skill. The ideal candidate will have open availability between 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

• Manage and work with suppliers
• Inventory control
• Purchase product domestic and abroad
• Work with Sales team to forecast needs and negotiate price on projects
• Work with Warehouse team to monitor Purchase Order contents.
• Identify qualify key vendors to add to company sourcing needs.
• Ability to assist customers needs and issues.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

• Ability to negotiate best price with vendors
• Ability to monitor and work with our suppliers to continuously improve quality, service, and delivery performance
• Experience working with ERP systems and PC applications, including common software such as Microsoft Office
• Experience managing relationship with US and overseas suppliers is a plus
• Experience managing inventories to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels is a plus
• A college degree, associate or bachelor, in business, procurement or logistics is a plus
