Purchasing Representative (Nutritional Supplements)

We are building a premium, trustworthy brand and are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our founding team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and well-connected Purchasing Representative with deep expertise in the nutritional supplement industry in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, from identifying products to negotiating with suppliers and placing orders. You will be the critical link between our company and the leading supplement distributors in the country, ensuring we have a competitive and high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Supplier Relations & Sourcing:

• Identify, visit, and build strong professional relationships with key nutritional supplement agents, distributors, and wholesalers in Kuwait.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all supplier communications.

2.Procurement & Order Management:

Manage the end-to-end ordering process, including placing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and partnership agreements to secure the best possible terms for the company.

Maintain accurate records of all purchases, pricing, and supplier information.

3.Product & Market Knowledge:

Utilize your extensive knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and sports nutrition to recommend new products and brands,

Stay up-to-date with the latest market trends, new product launches, and competitor activities in the Kuwaiti supplement market.

Analyze sales data to identify best-selling products and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts.

4.Quality Assurance:

Ensure all sourced products meet our high-quality standards and have the necessary approvals from local authorities.

Coordinate with suppliers to handle any issues related to product quality, returns, or discrepancies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience (2+ years) in a purchasing, sales, or brand representative role within the nutritional supplement industry in Kuwait. This is a mandatory requirement.
• Previous work experience in a supplement retail store, pharmacy, or distribution company is highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of different types of supplements, vitamins, and their benefits.
• Strong existing network and professional relationships with key supplement distributors and agents in Kuwait.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal Skills.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English is a plus.
