What does a Purchasing Representative do?

As a Wolf Purchasing Representative, employees will perform all job functions related to the Procurement Department’s Key Business Processes. They include but are not limited to Purchasing Customer Product, Inventory Management/Analytics, Material Maintenance, Price Changes, Invoicing Direct Shipments and Vendor Engagement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Evaluate and maintain appropriate inventory needs across multiple stocking plants ensuring high level fill rates.

· Execute the ordering of stock, non-stock and direct shipments or customer product.

· Evaluate vendor base to ensure accurate cost, timeliness of delivery and quality of service.

· Assist in the creation of material items/SKUs and update pricing as needed.

· Performs various timely customer billing functions pertaining to direct shipments.

· Attend vendor meetings as deemed necessary to aid in evaluating current and future lines.

· Assist timely with daily workflow e-mails from internal and external groups.

· Function as a product knowledge expert for materials that WOLF procures.

· Distributes weekly, monthly, annual reports via Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Slimstock

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Purchasing experience preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Proficiency with SAP and Slimstock preferred

Additional Information:

· Occasional travel

· All candidates will be required to submit a post-offer drug screen and background check

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
