We are currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our Supply Chain Department at our Corporate Headquarters in Brunswick. This is a hybrid role with on-site for training and after training is completed the role will transition to a hybrid schedule with required in office attendance of 3 days per week.

The Purchasing Specialist works closely with our vendors and our inventory team to ensure that we maintain a sufficient supply of materials to produce our products and to support our daily operations.

  • Issue purchase orders for inventory and business items.
  • Contact, negotiate and develop vendor relationships.
  • Track incoming shipments.
  • Approve invoices for purchased material.
  • If material substitutions must be made on orders due to supply chain limitations the Purchasing Specialist will work with the Customer Service team to find acceptable replacements for incoming orders.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field or a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in purchasing, inventory management or supply chain.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Outlook as well as advanced Excel skills including Pivot Table and V Lookups
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize and manage workflow
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions on purchasing and inventory flow
