The role...


The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for purchasing day-to-day operations, optimizing procurement processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, creating & maintaining vendor relations, and working closely with the Weidmann team to support their purchasing needs. Requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of procurement processes.



How you’ll make an impact?


  • By being responsible for complete P2P ( Purchase-to-Pay) process. PO committal, confirmation, and assurance of GR posting, while working with FI on any invoice posting issues.
  • Analyzing purchasing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensuring the continuity of the systems by being involved in Integrated Management System (ISO 9001-14001-45001) and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate related collective works within the scope of purchasing process,
  • Assisting Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with the development and maintenance of procurement reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supplier performance, purchasing volume, and cost savings.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and suppliers to ensure alignment on procurement goals and objectives.
  • Assisting Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM) and Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with market research, supplier evaluations, obtaining quotes, and negotiating pricing.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Creating and processing purchase orders in a timely fashion while adhering to approval guidelines, following both local and corporate policies/procedures.
  • Eliminating/reducing downtime by monitoring open PO’s. Communicate with suppliers and follow through with end user, while updating any necessary transactions.
  • Creating/updating Master Data, including suppliers, source list, and purchasing info records.
  • Carrying on any other related duties assigned by management.



What do you bring?


  • Bachelor degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing / procurement, supply chain management, or related fields in a manufacturing company,
  • Proficiency in English, fluency in speaking and written skills,
  • "Hands-on" mentality with a can-do attitude,
  • Interpersonal-communication, active listening, teamwork, dependability, motivation, time management & organization,
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management,
  • Ability to work independently while providing support functions remotely/at a distance,
  • Experience with SAP-Purchasing Module and Microsoft Office,
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment,
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work,
  • Creative thinking, integrity, problem-solving skills,
  • Willing to work in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment located in our factory in Gebze.
