Purchasing Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This position requires expertise in ERP systems as well as a solid understanding of procurement management and inventory control.

Duties

• Manage sourcing activities to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms.
• Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align purchasing needs with production schedules.
• Utilize ERP systems to forecast demand and manage supply chain logistics effectively.
• Maintain supplier relationships through regular communication.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures while managing contracts.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement management, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with inventory control processes and logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and pricing strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
