Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering,
• 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management,
• Strong knowledge of international commercial terms (Incoterms) and payment terms; capable of negotiating and managing procurement contracts within international trade frameworks.
• Proven experience in preparing and negotiating contracts in both Turkish and English,
• Strong follow-up and tracking skills to ensure timely execution of procurement and delivery processes,
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for cost comparisons, supplier performance tracking, and reporting,
• Experience in using ERP systems,
• Good communication and coordination skills; strong team player with analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving,
• No travel restrictions,
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Yalova, İzmit, or the Anatolian side of Istanbul.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, including logistics and customs formalities, to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement in full compliance with company policies and standards.
• Track open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery by closely following up with suppliers and coordinating with relevant internal departments (e.g. planning, quality, finance).
• Manage supplier agreements, negotiate favorable contract terms, and safeguard the company's interests.
• Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers; build and maintain long-term, strategic supplier relationships.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate material shortages or delays.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments to facilitate effective collaboration and the onboarding of new vendors.
• Conduct market research and cost analysis to optimize sourcing strategies.
• Participate in or lead cost-saving and process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Monitor pricing trends and market dynamics to provide strategic insights that support cost reduction initiatives.
• Regularly analyze industry reports and developments related to strategic raw materials, and report findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with international and local regulations concerning strategic materials and procurement policies.
