Summary:


The Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and services essential for clinical and manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for managing the entire purchasing process, from identifying supplier options and obtaining quotations to issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries. The role requires close collaboration with supply chain, materials management, and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production schedules. The Purchasing Specialist also ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations while negotiating favorable terms with suppliers to maximize cost efficiency. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the operational efficiency and profitability of the manufacturing organization by securing quality materials at competitive prices in a timely manner.


Skills:


  • Computer skills including using Excel and Microsoft Outlook

  • Able to follow specific directions and processes

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Help develop and support short and long-term inventory management and organization

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Working with our other offices and locations to maintain proper inventory management

  • Ability to think outside the box to solve difficult problems


Not Required, But Bonus Skills:


  • Familiarity with Netsuite/Oracle, Nymbl and Athena software

  • LEAN manufacturing principles

  • Inventory management experience


Position Requirements:


  • High School Degree

  • Working in our Stoughton, MA location (not remote)

  • Dependable transportation
