Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of products, materials, and services required for business operations. The role involves ensuring timely procurement in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and coordinating closely with internal departments to support ongoing and new projects.

Key Responsibilities


Purchasing & Procurement Operations:

-Purchase goods, materials, equipment, components, and services in accordance with specified cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

-Prepare, raise, and follow up on purchase orders and order schedules to ensure timely delivery.

-Support the purchasing function and coordinate with other departments to address any supply issues that may impact operations.

-Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders for purchasing processes, new projects, and activities.

Supplier Management & Compliance:

-Assess, evaluate, and monitor supplier performance and contribute to supplier performance reviews to ensure compliance with agreements.

-Maintain strong and effective communication with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations.

-Ensure full compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines.

-Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities for materials and components.

Reporting & Documentation:

-Prepare purchasing reports, updates, and documentation as required by management.

-Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation within the ERP system.


Requirements


Education:

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

Skills

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a team and meet defined timescales.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Professional and presentable demeanor.

Computer Skills:

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Hands-on experience using ERP systems.
