Responsibilities:

Creates request for quotation (RFQ); Communicates with vendors and selects vendors based on price, service and ability to meet production needs

Processing Invoices for all orders and ensuring orders are received

Processes purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensure proper approvals have been given prior to placing items on order

Identifies and communicates issues arising from the supply of materials and services with both the vendor and internal requisitioner.

Works with team members to identify instances of damaged shipments, including addressing and following up with suppliers and requisitioner.

Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met

Manages supplier relationships and update management on any issues with vendors

Performs new material cost evaluation for management review

Takes on additional tasks when other departmental staff are absent

Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct

Supports ISO 9001 activities

Adheres to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies

Quarterly and Yearly data collection is preferred.
Qualifications and Experience:

Degree/Diploma in procurement field and/or related experience

Demonstrated analytical skills with particular attention to detail

Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with user departments and key external stakeholders
-
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

Excellent time and project management skills
-
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office and enterprise ERP system and e-mail required
-
Experience using SAP is an asset
