About the Role:
- The Corporate Purchasing Supervisor –Strategic Sourcing, provides system-wide oversight of purchasing operations for LifeBridge Health, Inc., supporting more than $200 million in annual supply spend across multiple acute care hospitals and system entities. This role ensures consistent execution of enterprise purchasing strategies, contract compliance, and operational excellence while maintaining uninterrupted clinical supply availability. The position directly supervises corporate purchasing staff and serves as a key operational leader supporting LifeBridge Health’s financial stewardship, standardization, and patient care objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System-Wide Purchasing Oversight
- Oversee daily purchasing operations supporting acute care hospitals and system entities with combined annual spend exceeding $200M.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant purchase order execution aligned with LifeBridge Health contracts, approval structures, and governance.
- Proactively manage supply disruptions, shortages, substitutions, and escalations impacting clinical operations Leadership & Staff Management.
- Directly supervise corporate Purchasing Specialists/Buyers in a non-union environment.
- Establish clear performance expectations, service levels, and accountability standards.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of customer service, standard work, and continuous improvement Contract Compliance & Standardization.
- Enforce adherence to LifeBridge Health enterprise contracts, GPO agreements, and approved vendor strategies.
- Partner with Value Analysis, Contracting, and Clinical Leadership to support system-wide standardization initiatives.
- Monitor and resolve pricing discrepancies, contract leakage, and off contract spend.
- Support contract conversions, vendor rationalization, and new product implementations.
- Financial Stewardship & Analytics: Analyze purchasing data to identify utilization trends, and compliance gaps.
- Support utilization analysis for system-wide supply spend.
- Prepare and present operational metrics and performance reports to supply chain leadership.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary corporate purchasing escalation point for facility-based supply chain leaders,
- Collaborate closely with Contracting, Value Analysis, Supply Chain Operations, Accounts Payable, and Finance Support enterprise procure-to-pay process optimization.
- Compliance & Systems: Ensure purchasing operations meet regulatory and accrediting standards (CMS, Joint Commission)
- Support optimization, upgrades, and new system initiatives (e.g., Infor Lawson,GHX, etc.)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and purchasing controls
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of corporate Purchasing employees.
- Authority for hiring, performance evaluation, and corrective action within a non-union framework.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
- Experience: 3-5 years of related experience
Salary $62 to $75K dependent on experience and internal equity.
