Purchasing Support Specialist

Libraria is seeking a Purchasing Support Specialist to assist our Purchasing Manager with the day-to-day purchasing activities that keep our operation running smoothly. This role supports the flow of books from publishers to our warehouse by helping manage orders, vendor communication, and internal coordination with our teams.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data and systems. If you enjoy keeping things moving, solving problems, and supporting a fast-paced team, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with placing and tracking purchase orders
  • Monitor order status and follow up with publishers and vendors as needed
  • Help manage backorders, cancellations, and order adjustments
  • Communicate updates with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records in internal systems
  • Review reports and assist with inventory and order management tasks
  • Support vendor communication and help resolve order discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
  • 2-3 years of office experience preferred
  • Previous purchasing, administrative, or operations support experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
