Purchasing/Parts Representative

Serpa Packaging Solutions is looking for a Purchasing Parts Representative to join our organization! As the Purchasing Parts Representative with Serpa, you will be responsible for raw materials purchases. Purchased parts and in-house manufactured parts inventories; purchase of raw materials components and supplies to build customer packaging machines that meet individual customer specifications.

Requirements:

• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goals and services.
• Research and evaluate supplies based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production & distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation & history.
• Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
• Maintain & review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
• Develop working relationships and cross-functional communication skills to disseminate pertinent information: face-to-face, in writing, or via telephone/email

• Must have the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
• Ability to develop an interpersonal communication style that supports and allows for effective written and oral communication
• Strong organizational & analytical skills
• Consistently demonstrate follow through
• This position requires strong data entry, 10 key, and experience with MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook
• Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces
• Physical effort that may include the lifting of light weight supplies and materials (10-25 pounds) and occasionally moving up to 50 pounds
• Typical schedule varies depending upon site operational needs, flexibility required

Hourly Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00
