Role Summary
The PYP Math Teacher will design and deliver mathematics learning aligned with the IB PYP framework, promoting inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and real-world application. The teacher will create a supportive and engaging environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in young learners.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Instruction
- Plan and deliver mathematics lessons based on the IB PYP curriculum, integrating concepts, skills, and real-life contexts.
- Use inquiry-based teaching strategies that encourage exploration and higher-order thinking.
- Integrate math learning with transdisciplinary themes and Units of Inquiry (UOI).
- Use manipulatives, visual models, hands-on activities, and digital tools to enhance understanding.
Assessment & Documentation
- Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding.
- Maintain assessment records, student portfolios, evidence of learning, and reflections as per IB standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Student Engagement & Development
- Support individual learning needs through differentiation and small group instruction.
- Encourage mathematical thinking, problem-solving, reasoning, and communication.
- Promote learner agency, independence, and student-driven inquiry.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers and specialist teachers to integrate math into UOIs.
- Participate in planning meetings, IB workshops, professional development, and PYP exhibitions.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for growth.
Classroom Environment
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
- Use displays, anchor charts, manipulatives, and learning centers to support math engagement.
- Integrate technology (e.g., iPads, math apps, digital manipulatives) to strengthen learning.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
