About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer with proven expertise in healthcare/NHS-related projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FastAPI, FHIR standards, and healthcare data integration. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure APIs and working in modern cloud-based, containerized environments while ensuring compliance with healthcare interoperability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Work on EMR integrations, MIG connectors, and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Implement and manage FHIR R4 UK and SNOMED CT data models.
• Apply FHIR mapping tools/libraries for seamless healthcare data exchange.
• Ensure secure access control with role mapping, data suppression, and authentication mechanisms (CIS2, Optum Healthcare One).
• Collaborate with frontend teams on integration patterns, supporting Material UI-based applications.
• Implement asynchronous data aggregation, caching strategies, and progressive loading.
• Work with AWS services such as Secrets Manager for secure infrastructure.
• Develop in a containerized environment (Docker) with mono-repo architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Agile tools (Rally or similar) for project tracking and collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of back-end development experience.
• Mandatory experience in healthcare or NHS-related projects.
• Strong expertise in FastAPI, RESTful API design, and healthcare data standards.
• Familiarity with FHIR R4 UK, SNOMED CT, and EMR integration strategies.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of progressive loading, caching, and data staleness indicators.
• Strong collaboration skills with frontend, data, and integration teams.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
