Key Responsibilities

· Review and scrutinize datasets collected through survey schedules/field offices.

· Ensure that data entered matches instructions, survey concepts, and scheme guidelines.

· Validate, clean, and correct data; flag inconsistent or missing entries.

· Use tools (Python, R) to run basic scripts for data validation, checks, exploratory data analysis.

· Prepare reports on data quality issues and suggest improvements for data collection & entry processes.

· Coordinate with field offices for receipt tracking, follow‑ups, and resolution of data issues.

· Monitor daily/monthly status of incoming data, generate status dashboards / summaries.

· Assist in documenting procedures, guidelines, and maintaining audit trails of corrections and decisions.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

· Bachelor’s degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Data Science / Computer Science or equivalent

· Proficiency in Python and R (basic scripts, data frames, data cleaning)

· Good understanding of statistical/data quality concepts (missing data, consistency, outliers)

· Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

· Good communication skills – able to document issues, interact with teams at field offices

· Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Interview & Selection Process

· Initial shortlisting based on resume & qualifications

· Written test (data validation / logical / handling sample data)

· Technical interview focused on data tools (Python/R), statistics, attention to detail

· Final interview & document verification at Ministry, Delhi
