Job Type : Full Time Contract
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re a fast-moving startup building a platform that connects cleanly with a wide range of third-party services. We’re looking for a mid-level Python Integration Engineer who enjoys solving real-world integration challenges—everything from authentication flows to identity provisioning to stitching together APIs from modern cloud services. You’ll work closely with our founders and engineering team to deliver reliable, secure integrations that power key product features.
If you like making external systems talk to each other and turning complex API requirements into simple, robust workflows, you’ll feel at home here.
BACKGROUND
Allendevaux & Company is combining deep regulatory expertise with advanced engineering to build an AI-central GRC tool comprised of many modules. You will embed with an initial pod of ~15 engineers in Alexandria, ensuring predictable delivery while the product and AI roadmaps accelerate.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Develop Python-based connectors and integration modules for external services.
- Build and maintain REST-based API clients with proper handling for pagination, rate limits, retries, and error recovery.
- Implement and support authentication/authorization flows: OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML2, JWT, certificates, and token-based access.
- Create and maintain SCIM 2.0 integrations for identity provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Translate product and customer requirements into reliable integration workflows.
- Apply secure development and compliance-aware thinking to all integration work.
- Write tests, support CI/CD, and help maintain high code quality in a fast-moving environment.
- Produce clear internal and customer-facing documentation for integrations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development (requests, FastAPI, aiohttp/asyncio, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience building integrations using REST/JSON APIs.
- Practical experience with OpenID Connect/OAuth2, and working knowledge of SAML 2.0.
- Hands-on experience building or consuming SCIM 2.0 endpoints.
- Solid understanding of secure API practices, token handling, and authentication flows.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and adapt quickly in a startup environment.
- Based in Alexandria, Egypt, or able to collaborate closely with our team there.
PREFEREERED EXPERIENCE
- Experience integrating with Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or other ticketing/case-management platforms.
- Experience integrating with HR systems (Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platform APIs from Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS (e.g., IAM, identity, storage, compute, or security services).
- Background in cybersecurity, GRC, or compliance-heavy environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise identity platforms (Azure AD, Okta, Ping, ADFS).
- Knowledge of Docker or basic DevOps tooling.
- Prior experience in early-stage startups where priorities evolve quickly.
WHY WORK FOR US
- Flexible contract engagement with potential for long-term collaboration.
- Low-bureaucracy environment where your work directly impacts customers.
- Opportunities to influence integration architecture and engineering practices.
- Meaningful work spanning identity, security, automation, and interoperability.
