This role is hybrid, 3 days a week in our Chicago Office.
The Salary for this role is : $60k to $75k
There is the option for flexible, later start hours (for example 11am)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QA Analyst) is a member of the Quality team. They are primarily responsible for reviewing client deliverables to ensure print and digital deliverables match all necessary design and functionality specifications. This includes comparing assets to supplied comps, styles guide, and/or functional requirement specification (FRS), logging and reporting all issues and discrepancies. The role requires interfacing with Developers, Project Managers, Producers, and other Quality team members to verify fixes and properly document project reviews.

This role requires candidates to understand design tools (e.g., Photoshop), basic coding (HTML/CSS), and foundational concepts like design systems and visual hierarchies.

QA Analysts investigate visual and functional inconsistencies, research and apply best practices for reviews, and recognize and report discrepancies. QA Analysts collaborate with other Quality team members to ensure deadlines for both client and internal projects are strictly met.


SAMPLE OF DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conduct manual visual and functional reviews across devices and browsers, as well as across asset types (websites, emails, PDFs, videos, etc.)
  • Create and follow review test plans
  • Communicate with QA team regarding project milestones and issues
  • Communicate with resource requestors to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Test and resolve logged issues

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manually test assets for design and functional issues
  • Ensure consistency with client's visual identity, including the overall look, graphic elements, and functionality as outlined in the comp/FRS
  • Ability to follow strict brand and visual guidelines
  • Follow/build test plans
  • Log issues in a clear and precise manner via a project/issue tool
  • Exercise excellent, detail-oriented organizational and communication skills
  • Articulate and document team and review processes
  • Ensure project deadlines are met, and exhibit clear and consistent communication when reporting project statuses, with advanced notice, if projects deviate from expectations
  • Respectfully work with other disciplines in an Agile-oriented environment
  • Collaborate with other Quality disciplines, ensuring team-wide understanding of processes and day-to-day operations
  • Participate in meetings to support knowledge share/team collaboration
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree—preferably Communications, Graphic Design, or Computer Science
    • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Working understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Creative or technical background in digital projects
  • Working knowledge of Acrobat
  • JavaScript experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Photoshop skills
  • Working knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe products a plus
